Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American journalist. She works for ESPN and is the SportsCenter News Anchor. The first time she worked at ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is native to two languages. Since she was nine, Collins's ability to speak two languages has helped her get a job in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. In her position, she had the opportunity to collaborate with national program producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In St. Petersburg, she was then hired by the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated from Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as an investigative reporter for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Her stories covered immigration as well as drug trafficking and various other topics on the Texas and Mexico border. She was also the Spanish reporter at the newscast at 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter of the newscast at nine p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English as well as a Spanish reporter for 10 p.m. Also, she would fill in at times as a news and sports anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's Dallas-affiliate station. In that station, she was given greater duties. She was a reporter for all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was the producer of Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor. She was promoted as anchoring sports to Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The anchor also worked in the same role for the network's magazine show Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents are born in Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1985. She's more mature than her younger sister. In 1992, the family moved to Miami following the move from Mexico in the US. Her parents divorced soon after and, in 1995, she married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. The couple stayed in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer in which she was offered a job. At the time of her senior year in high school and yet with a clear idea about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta was able to visit at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. In the end, she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a major. She finished school and enrolled at the university with an undergraduate major in media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a member. His passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities encouraged her. In turn, she attempted to live up to his standards and not fail him.
